HYHA has developed an off ice strength and conditioning program that focuses on age appropriate exercises, and drills, to develop each individual's strength, coordination, and balance.

The goals for these programs are simple:

  • Learn the fundamentals of strength conditioning & what future teams will expect.
  • Focus on athletic movements & light weights.
  • Develop life-long healthy habits.
  • Have fun.

Calisthenics

Basics of body weight strength development.

Back, Arms, Legs

Full body large muscle movements.

Press Day

Light press day with extended movements.

Full Body

Multiple muscle group day across the entire body.

Cardio

Quick cardio day for stamina with sprints for explosiveness.

Off Ice Training

The way the program works is the players can follow along on a phone/iPad/computer and complete the workouts as they do them. This method gives the players a feeling of accomplishment as they go through the workout.
